Fish Naples, Marco Island, and the 10,000 Islands of Southwestern Florida

Voted Top Marco Island & Ten Thousand Islands Fishing Guide  2016-2024

Looking for a memorable fishing experience? Come fish Naples, Marco Island and Ten Thousand Islands as we pursue some of the best inshore fishing in all of Southwest Florida.

I am Captain John Pfeiffer and I’ve been guiding anglers to big fish for more than thirty years. Let me be your host as I guide you through the backwaters and pristine sanctuaries of the world famous 10,000 islands of southwestern Florida. Although a bit more “civilized,” we can also fish the passes and tributaries of Marco Island and Naples to the north. We’ll take you to where the fish are…and where they’re not expecting us.

We will fish the tide as it moves in and out of the backwater, flushing bait fish and other tasty critters out of the mangroves or across the flats and oyster bars. We may depart from a number of areas such as Naples, Marco Island, Goodland, Everglades City, or Port of the Islands. Our departure times may vary to take advantage of the tide, moon phase and wind direction. Snook, Redfish and Trout are available all year with certain months better than others. We can also target Tarpon (the mighty Silver King) and tackle-busting Sharks and Jack Crevalle. I also specialize in light-tackle pursuit of Tripletail and Ladyfish.

When you fish with me, you’re fishing with family. There’s nothing quite like putting your child on the fish of a lifetime…and creating for you the bond of a lifetime. Whether you’re a seasoned angler looking for a record catch or a weekend warrior who wants to learn how to fish the back country, we can customize the trip to create your unique fishing experience.

So join me, and experience backwater guided fishing and sightseeing in a relaxed personalized atmosphere.

See you soon and welcome home.

Testimonials

“I booked Captain John for an inshore trip while I was on vacation with my wife. I wasn't expecting the fishing to be anything special as I mostly have done offshore fishing before. Well, I was wrong! Inshore fishing is even more exciting than offshore and we hooked into a 100 pound tarpon that had the rod bending over for almost an hour. It was such a nice change from a typical rocking boat offshore. The inshore scene is awesome. Thanks Captain John!”

“We had a great time in the backcountry of the 10,000 islands with Captain John. He knows the area better than anyone and had us to the fishing grounds in no time. My husband caught several redfish and snook. It was a great all around trip.”

“Captain John is the best in the Naples area for Inshore fishing. We have used other guides on our annual vacation, but we will be sticking with Captain John. His passion for inshore fishing really shows and he is not the typical grumpy captain that we have dealt with before. Highly recommended!”
